I have this funny feeling when i watch PHS's concert DVD..hmmm..do u all think he has become less happier these days? It's like i seldom see him really smile during his performances nowadays, But the concert DVD captures him while he's like 21/22? (In 2003). He looked cute as a button and i really feel like pinching him on the cheek because he was just so cute!

But i feel he's more manly and quieter these days..gosh, i hope that he doesn't become a cynical person but i keep on feeling that he has matured and has a more closed personality than he was back when he just started singing...

The DVD is really the next best thing around. Hmm, the concert is definitely not glam or anything...i am suspecting it's more like a uni concert kind of thingy. No pretty clothes. In fact, i think PHS was in sweatshirt/jumpers throughout. He looked really happy back then and at ease..sigh...i guess entertainment circle is really dark. U can really see the contrast in him then and now...but then his singing ability definitely scaled to a new height!

Go get the DVD, it's really worth every penny..at USD14.99, it's a steal..plus, it's not just the concert, there's a CD which has his live performances in the concert and also some music videos.

Haha, the magic show part was really cute. Geesh, he's just so cheeky..until his last year's concerts were made into a DVD which i will definitely buy, this is the next best thing i can get, on top of all the burned copies of his recent performances, haha.

Ooh i love how HyoShin looked like in that concert..cute and his voice was awesome so deep and soulful (for a very young man..) The opening number was as good as in the cd..and i love his 'Maria..Maria' version too..But the best part has got to be when he was crying singing to the songs..i cried along too..especially when he sang 'Run To You' and his fans threw paper planes....awwwww....
I think HyoShin looked the best during Jang Dong Gun birthday party performance (2006)..he sang songs from his remake 'neoClassicism' cd..short hair with glasses..

That's why i think that his Next Destination DVD is the next best thing around. I am kind of worried that we might not get to watch his 2007 concerts and i have difficulties getting his earlier albums, which i am still kicking myself for. Procrastinated for too long, wanted to get his third album special edition. Heard the packaging was really good..but it can't be bought anywhere now!

Anyway, back to happier stuff. I rushed to my Korean colleague yesterday and forced her to listen to "the breeze of the sea". Another colleague came and looked at the title (she only saw the back of thealbum, without PHS's picture) and said to my Korean colleague: "Are you stressed, have to listen to the breeze of the sea?" This colleague thought that the album is an instrumental album, haha. Bu then, PHS's voice is so soothing, i think it's still an apt name for his 5th album anyway.

So, my Korean colleague listened to it and said she liked "Love resembles memories" very much..she said the lyrics are very nice and i told her i was pretty shocked to see that PHS had composed most of the music. Actually, i looked through the booklet and found that he's the executive producer and he harmonised the songs himself (as chorus) too.

My Korean colleague told me that she's not surprised. PHS is considered very talented, like KCM and SG Wannabe.. Anyway, i will bring her the DVD and CD of the concert too. She commented that i behaved like a teenager. Haha. I think part of the reason was because i told her i like music bank (especially when PHS's on it) and apparently, teenagers love that show too.

She's quite shocked when she watched the you tube clip (with PHS, Lee Ki Chan and Eru). She mentioned that PHS looked more manyly now. Apparently, PHS gives her a "wild" impression. She commented that the lyrics in his 5th album is good..and she goes "PHS's voice ah....." and has a dreamy look, haha...

I'm around, lurking between this thread and another, you-know-who. I haven't seen you around for a while. Great to see you in here again, spazzing over our orgasmic voice boy. He is always with me, I listen to him everyday. I managed to convert some friends after introducing them to "LOST".
And I even watched Dae Jo Young just to listen to him sing in the background!
I know I am repeating myself but I absolutely love his "Hurricane" performance (it literally blew me away), his rendition of Bobby Kim's "A Whale's Dream" (as good as Bobby Kim himself if not better, I love BK too!) and his impromptu renditions of Babo, A Good Person and Snowflower in YDH Loveletter are to die for!!!

Haha..yeah, i have ripped copies of his 5th album everywhere..believe it or not, i am starting to wonder if my audio player should be upgraded because i think it doesn't do justice to PHS's voice. But then, stepping on the journey to become an audiophile is very very very expensive so i better not do so.

Anyway, i will start spreading my love for PHS ard and i will strive to get as many converts as i can, haha. Another colleague of mine has seen "Hurricane" clip and was blown away..i will have a high chance with her..

Hey people,

Just a tip in case you wanna really appreciate PHS's voice on a mp3 player..when u rip the songs, choose the lossless format, i know the file will be really really huge (i tried the format and ends up with 700 plus mb of the file) but it really makes a world of a difference..his voice sounds poorer in a very compressed format, so do not compress his songs too much..
