I heard this year is going to be the most competitive in terms of getting into college...not to scare anyone because the class of 2008 is HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEE and the biggest compared to the mid-late 80's, 90's group. The class before us didn't have as much and 1991-ers are extremely lucky because that's when they have few kids in it. I don't know about u guys, but that means expanding my list of safeties.

XD people in my class like to talk about the trend at our school.. It's like everyone other year, there's a dumber class (for ex, the '88ers (c/o 2006) was really smart too.. as for the '89ers/class of 2007, not so much..)

every year's about the same in terms of competetion i think.........every rejection you get every year will say that they've had more applicants than ever........and you're special but there's not enough room for every special person.

EA applicants increased at schools such as Georgetown and University of Chicago because Harvard (along with UVA and some other selective schools) got rid of their EA program. So much of this was pretty much expected.

Dont worry. If you're qualified to get in, you're going to be accepted regardless of the volume of applicants.

so dont stress out guys.
