so yesterday i was cleaning up my computer by deleting files, programs, and stuff.
but then i wanted to listen to music so i opened up windows media player and itunes
and they both didn't work! they were like "no sound device" or something like that.
so i looked into it online and i noticed that sound devices are usually in your computer already?
so now, i don't have an audio device! or an audio device output! or whatever audio configuration thing!
i have no idea how to install one and be able to play music again!
i miss my music.

i might've deleted it while like deleting programs? i have no idea!
someone pleeease help me!
my speakers have power, but sound doesn't come out.

and i don't know if this makes sense, but since i have no sound on my speakers
sound comes out of my computer so it's like "beep" whenever there should've been a sound coming out of my speakers
and i guess that happens because i don't have an audio sound device? i need helppp!

someone please helppp!

so could you tell me how to reinstall my sound drivers?

hmm what kinda computer do you have? Dell? HP? Do you know what model? Do you still have the manuals or documentation that came with the computer?

i have a Dell
and i think so... they're all in my dad's room
my dad does everything though but he only knows how to set it up and has no idea what's wrong with the sound.
so do i need like all the old installing CD stuff?

great if you have a dell look for a blue Dell CD that says Drivers or something. Pop that in, and look for sound drivers, it should have a checkmark next to it.

If you do not have a Drivers CD then you can go to www.dell.com and download the sound driver there. IT is under support and then click download drivers and software. You'll need to provide the model number for your computer to find the right driver.
