omg... the term closes this friday and i`m definitely failing AP B/C calculus.... like seriously failing. i think i have like a 58 in there or something. i mean.. i was never really that good in math. last year, i think i got a C average for the year.. B- for all terms but failing the midyear and final... and yet the teacher was all.. 'oh you can handle B/C calculus. blah blah blah'

so i`m taking the class and i failed the first review test. i had no idea what i was doin last year cause my teacher sucked at life. then i actually got a 97 on the quiz of the new stuff we learned. i just suck at taking tests so i decided to go after school and get extra help and i got EVERYTHING right... went home, studied. then took the test the next day and i failed. what a surprise.

i know that just stayin in this class isn`t gonna help me AT ALL. i feel like i`m so screwed now.

how important are senior grades to colleges? i mean, say i got an F this term in B/C and dropped down to A/B for the rest of the year and got an A? my teacher said that B/C is the hardest class in the school so will colleges take that into account?

ideas anyone? tears.gif i`m so stressed right now. i`m afraid to tell my parents cause i can just see the lecture now.

thanks.

for the most part, they aren't that serious.

however, if you are failing a class (D or F), then they might rescind their acceptance letter. when you send in your mid year reports, you might have to fill out a special appeal form or something.

good luck.

D's & F's are never a good thing for transcripts unless you have a specific reason for it.
Go talk to your counselor & see if you can drop down to AB?

I learned that if you find that you can't learn anything from one teacher, try finding something or someone who can teach you something you can understand.

I used this book series to learn calculus, because I learned absolutely nothing from my teacher:

i think the way it goes is like this: long as you graduate, and don't fail a required class ur in the go. i got a D in spanish 3-4 last semester of high school and i'm still allowed to attend college woohoo!! ... freaking spanish...

getting a D or F will be a revoke of admission for ucs... one of my friends got into UCSD but after getting a D in AP Physics, they revoked his admission and he couldnt go there.. so try ur best to at least passing.

Yes senior grades are very important. Colleges that accept you may withdraw your acceptance letter. You also mentioned that the class you are failing is an AP Class. My guidance councilor said that MIGHT be an exception because it's an advanced class so they might go easier on you. Nonetheless you should try even harder and not only pass but do good in the class.

what if someone was accepted for the ELC program and they got a D in one class but A's in everything else?
would that have any effect?
