I'm in my second year, so I'll help out.
1. Name (just your first name or your username) David
2. What college(s) did/do you attend? University of South Florida
3. How did you pay for school? Selection B and my parents help out also.
A. savings
B. scholarshipsC. grants
D. loans
E. work study job - please list job if this applies
4. How/why did you choose this particular college? It's close to my parents(they need me to help out and in return, help me out in college), my little bro is autistic and my parents are already too busy, cost is a lot less living at home than on campus, and the engineering school is good(there are a lot of job offers every semester according to my advisors).
5. What is/was your major? Computer Engineering
6. How/why did you choose this? At first, I didn't want to do pharmacy due to how much I suck in science classes no matter how much I study and since I like working with computers, I would love to try to create softwares/hardware/technology.
7. Did you live on (or near campus) or at home during college? Home
8. Comment on the benefits (or drawbacks) of living where you did? Saves a lot of money. The bad thing is the traffic on the way to school when I drive, but that all depends what time, so far it's good this semester.
9. Approximately how many students went to your college(s)? About 43,000-46,000, forgot exactly how much. It's the 9th largest school in the nation(according to ESPN anyways during the USF game).
10. Were/are you happy with this size of college or did you wish it was larger (or smaller)? Please comment? To be honest, I wish my school didn't accept so many damn freshmens this year. They were building a new parking garage during this semester and closed down a huge parking lot next to it. They should have done this last year. Now, there are a lot of freshmens and parking is damn horrible as of now.
11. Compare high school to college, how much more difficult was college in terms of reading, tests or projects compared to high school? College if so much more difficult than high school. I barely did anything in high school, just have to study the day before or on the test day. While in college, procrastination can kill you.
12. What activities (dances, clubs, sports, etc.) did you do during college to make it more enjoyable? No clubs as of now.
13. What was your favorite class and what made it your favorite? So far, Survey of Jazz. It was an online class and sooooooo easy. Plus, I learned more about jazz than I ever knew. It was interesting.
14. If you could do college over, what would you do differently (if anything)? Being more serious during freshman year.
15. What is the most important thing to remember about college? Friends, also, everything you learned about your degree.
