You're right in the heart of Manhattan and you're open to a looooot of opportunities. I have a couple of friends in
Advertising and Marketing and they seem to be enjoying what they're doing. The business school is rather good here,
and the design school is excellent as well. If you need anything else, please ask!

The dorms are wonderful, at least, where I've been staying in for the past year or so. My freshman year, I lived in a suite apartment
and it was sooooo nice. It really depends on what you can get, but you have the choice of three dorming halls.
For freshmen especially, they make you live literally across from campus, so your mother really doesn't need to worry.
Upperclassman usually move to the dorms that are 10 minutes away from campus walking-wise. They're all brand new apartment suites,
and it IS sweet =).

With a good essay and fairly good grades (3.0+GPA), you should be fine =).

I think you need to know how to sew if your choosing fashion design majoring cause of the portfolio
they mentioned of a picture of a clothing you made
I'm freaking out cause of applications and portfolios @>@
hopefully I'll learn more after the summer program in FIT =]!

I'm a freshman at the University of North Texas studying Communication Design. If I don't get in the program for this coming fall semester, I want to end up at F.I.T to try out a different program...
But, I have no clue what my chances are! Please help me out if you can. T_T

^theres a portfolio requirement, but honestly its not that hard. theres a pretty high admittance rate. so if you got into an art school already (since youre studying comm D ), you have a very high chance of getting in FIT :]

i just got done and sent in my portfolio last week and i am waiting on the results!
i REALLLY hope that i get accepted, right now i am a freshman in college
so if i enroll at FIT this coming fall, id be a sophmore (but probably would be behind since i just figured id wanna major in art)
my major is communication design in pursuit of becoming a graphic designer
i have one question though, should i go ahead and apply for housing even though i havent gotten accpeted? or should i wait?
