I'm looking for a place to start a blog, but I have no real intention of posting it for the world to see? Only friends and family. That's why I have no idea where to sign up for one. Xanga used to have a protected post list where only accounts of people you approve can see your posts, which is great! Except nobody uses xanga anymore!!! I'm not really sure what people use now. blogspot? I was wondering if there is a service where you could set a temporary password to access your blog, and whoever wants to see it just has to enter a password you give them. or does blogspot have some kind of additional privacy settings (never used it)? Just start spewing out any free blogging services that you know of. Thanks

Not so sure of a lot, but I still use xanga. Livejournal sometimes. Or you can try diaryland.

Dance to your heart's content.

I think Blogspot allows you to choose who sees yours or not.
Wordpress also allows it. You choose who sees it.

I'm pretty sure Blogspot has a privacy setting.
I went to this link before, but it asked me for my account details or something.
There's also Bebo? It's like a more basic version of Facebook.
And you can like .. Put it so only your Friends see your profile.
But randoms can send you Friends Requests. ==

I use livejournal & loving it! {:
I'm not sure how blogspot works, sorry.
You can try diaryland too! But I personally feel livejournal's better in terms of privacy.
Since you're using it for personal use & only friends & family to see. (:
