Check out this new MP3 player called the Music Stick. It features a 2GB or 4GB storage, a small display for track information, E-book reader, FM radio, voice recorder and a High speed USB 2.0 connection. In addition, it has MP3, OGG, WMA and WAV (PCM/ADPCM) playback. The Music Stick is now available for $27.37 and $42.57 for the 1GB and 2GB .

Give it the file and it'll read it for you. That's what I'm guessing, since, like you said, it's impossible if that's the final product.
