I really want my computer theme to look like http://i14.tinypic.com/540e97p.jpg (picture credit to tre), with the music player also like that. I don't get the whole process of downloading little files and where to put them. I've tried a lot of websites that customizes your desktop, but I don't understand how.
Can someone show me a step by step to make it look like that ^ ?

Maybe they used LiteStep or something to modify the StartMenu. The music player (WinAmp ?) should be configured within the program itself (it should have an option to minimize to System Tray).
A simple way to remove all the Desktop icons is to use the Active Desktop (or whatever it's called). It'll display a web page instead. Just create a page that shows your wallpaper of choice.

no, _that_ is not Litestep (or if it is, it's really quite the silly theme, as you can do that without resorting to switching your shell). It's more like, they just changed the icon, probably just some theme or something.
