Although it is directly towards many enthusiasts, I still believe this is the board to get later on in the future. With such much flexibility and power, no doubt my next rig is going to use this board as the basis.
Would anyone consider getting this chipset? Or would you rather wait till later on ?
Do you think it is worth getting this right now even though many of the features will probably not be taken to use until later...

Umm it's not that great, the only good feature it really has over P35 is PCIe 2.0(which is under-utilized for now), but would you consider that to warrant a price boost of around $125? It's really up to you, I'm getting by fine on the P35 chipset and I dunno if they're supposed to come out with another chipset family until the change socket types next generation.

x38 has been around for a while already - x48 will be out soon, but it's more like a minor revision of x38 than a different chipset

Cuz of X48??? Only difference is Intel Verfied 1600 FSB Support .

oopsies my mistake lol. You're right they have been out. Haha! I stand corrected. But still.. these boards are relatively new.
