Hello~ Since this is the TECH forum, I have a few questions, I've decided to Reformat but I don't know exactly how I go about doing that...

Well, first of all, My computer is a relatively old one, I got it around 2 or 3 years ago so now it's pretty slow, especially when you boot it up.

After logging in, it'll take around 20 minutes for everything to completely load and another 5 for FireFox to open T_T. I've tried reducing the amount of progs at start-up (to around 6 I think) but it's STILL slow, I've tried to use Ad Aware personal, and SpyBot to see if there's any spyware, but nothing's changed much.

And now, I've decided to reformat. How would I go about doing this? I know the general basics on how to do it: Insert Windows CD, Reboot, select the options you want, and completely wipe the HDD, after that, reinstall windows and I'm done. Am I wrong in anything?
BTW: What programs does XP come with, just with CD? Microsoft Office, or any other related programs??

Insert Windows CD, Reboot, Go into BIOS to make sure you're booting from the CD-Rom
Partition your hard drive, Format your hard drive then It reinstalls.

XP is basically what it is. Just the Operating System itself. Microsoft Office is another program itself, and its not included in Windows XP.

You can try using Virtual Memory, or upgrading your RAM/Processor or something if its slow and you don't want to reformat it.
