uh oh -0-
i have a dell desktop and today when i turned it on, a blue screen came out
it said something about "if this is the first time you are viewing this message, reboot your computer etc. etc."
aka, the blue screen of death.
and so, i had this long time ago, so i decided i was going to press CTRL + F11
but, it didnt work. more like i couldnt see where the button to recover my system was.
basically, i want the computer to be recovered and restored to what it was like when i first got it.
i do not have a CD to help me with anything.
mm.
and if i can i don't want to lose any of my files. i have some really important ones that aren't backed up.
does anyone know what i should do?

Do you have a XP disk? If you do, you can just do a XP repair install.
Or try safe mode to see if you can get past that and if you can do a system restore. Or perhaps if safe mode fails you can try a start with last known good configuration but of course that doesnt always work. You can bring that up by jamming on F8 a bunch of times as it starts.

need the text on the bsod. if it is a hardware fault repairing it will not fix the problem.
