EDITT:: CRAPPPP... I didn't realize there was topics on both IB and AP... ill go check them outt
----
A school is usually either has AP (advanced placement) or IB (international Baccalaureate)...
what does your school have? We have IB
I heard that AP is a bit easier..but still a bit hard. And I know IB is like reconized internationally..but other than that I don't find much of a difference. Both of them offer harder classes.
Which one looks better for colleges?
I always thought that IB would be better just cause its international..but im still not sure.
Any thoughts?

We have no IB and our AP program is a joke ^.^
I still love my school, but we're not very academically respected...
Anyways not the point, I always thought of IB as superior in terms of humanities (because that's the general focus, humanities and languages) whereas AP was an all around pre-college preparation thing...

huh.
you can have both.
my school has both AP and IB
ib is DEFINITELY a lot more expensive
but i dont really know what's better
IB is recognized internationally, but schools within the states dont really recognize it
(i know the UCs do, but private schools might not even recognize it)
and AP is accepted all across the states, no question asked.
iono. i'm doing both

IB is usually for ppl that are looking to get into those IB league colleges or a pretty well known university outside the country. AP well it just makes you look smart in the USA. o.O that's my opinion.

our school doesnt have IB. therefore i can conclude that since not ALL schools have an IB program... AP is probably more recognized within the states. it seems like AP would be preferable if you are planning to stay in the US. but truthfully, this was all an assumption.

Our school has IB and AP... I'm only doing AP.
IB is more of like a liberal artsy approach to high school...and it's a ton more work.
We have like, IB students in AP classes and they have to do extra stuff like extended essays and stuff.
In Texas, if you were an IB student, you get 30 credit hours in uni, but idk if it's like that everywhere.
If you're planning to stay in the states, just do AP, it's less work, and it's not less respected/prestigious or anything.
