on my old ipod video 5g, i used a mod'ed firmware that allows you to play apple's games. it allows you change the background and some icons etc.

on my ipod touch, i use the jailbreak stuff and iphone apps

Although it can be pretty annoying.
But I don't mind it, overall.

I no longer use Apple software but instead use Yamipod to play music from my Ipod and Sharepod to transfer files.

Yep, I stick with iTunes.
'Cause I find it really organized,
and I love the way my songs are listed.

I know friends who use Windows Media Player though
Which I don't understand how that works...But yeah.

Well I used to use itunes, but since my iPod is no longer working. I don;t use it. My friend got me to use Songbird. He says that the syncing of the iPod is so much better than itunes itself.

i only use itunes and jodix to convert videos. i wasn't aware that there were programs that could add backgrounds to ipods! i think i'll go look for that right now... (:

I use itunes, I'm too lazy to find another program, and itunes is fine for me anyway since I don't play games on my ipod

actually, new versions of Winamp can transfer songs to and from the iPod.
