i use acnefree and it dried up my skin too, so i stopped using it for a few days
and went back to it and now my skin isn't as dry as it was before.
from what it looks like though, acnefree and proactiv seem really similar.
i guess you can just try proactiv cause it's a money-back guarantee if you want
a refund, but a lot of people say that if you stop using it you'll break out more

that's the problem with most acne products on the market these days... u have to keep using them all the time or else u'll go back to square one again. dry.gif waste of money too.

I'm not sure about Acne Free.
But Proactive only works for certain people and once you use it, it's going to have to become your DALY routine.
Once you stop, your acne starts again.

I've been using Proactiv for 4 years now. I tried to get off it once my acne cleared up, but it all came back (not any worse than it was before though). So basically, it looks like I'm going to be using Proactiv for life now, lol.

I think it depends on your tyep of skin. Works different with everyone but I've witness that once you stop using Proactive , it' comes back..
Sounds like Proactive for life! Haha
I say go see a dermatologist and they'll prescribe you the real stuff.

i had one or two zits and my momma bought me some acne free, and guess what? it totally effed up my skin! i started to break out horribly. tried proactiv and the zits started vanishing within 4 days. the only drawback is that it's really pricey, the smell is off-setting, and it can be a bit drying. i also know that it depends among people - works wonders for me and one of my close friends, but did nothing for two other people i know. oh well. can't wait to save up another $50 so i can hurry up and get another set. my face is looking pretty icky right now xD

proactive works for some people but it's bad because for the some people it works for, they will have to continue using it for the rest of their life. ._.; so i don't think you should use it.
go to a dermatologist and see what they recommend :/ because i don't think that proactive is something they would recommend :X since you'd have to use it forever--and--ever.

i never tried acne free so i dunno.

Proactive made my skin a little irritated really. I just wash my face normally and my acne is going down a bit

Yep, I'm stuck on proactive.
I wonder how I could get out of this chain... I never really had BAAD acne, but I've also noticed that maybe I'll fall asleep doing homework one night and forget to wash my face, and then POP! I've been attacked by the pimple monster!
It's horrible...
