so, i need some help. i just took the korean sat ii (i'm korean), and got a 770 on it... i know, it's low... for some reason, i got lower than my practice tests. ;__; so i probably should retake it, right? or would it look worse to do that?
also, i have a 750 in biology. should i aim higher in that, too? i'm currently a sophomore, with 4.0 unweighted gpa.
i'm planning on applying to mid to high competitive schools, and i'm not sure what i should do. should i retake the sat II's?

And I'm just curious - Did you get a 750 after taking your school's freshman biology course?

but someone got like 23xx (&it was pretty close to a 2400, i just don't remember the exact number)
and retook it and got 2400,
stanford asked why that person wasted time/bothered to take it again
and rejected that person.
not a rumor; it did happen.
soo... honestly um, i don't know, i'd keep those scores but
then again, who knows.
were you born in usa and live in usa for a long time?
or did you move from korea recently?

dude, don't waste your time on a test like that.
go do something you like or take a different subject test, because these subject tests are going to hurt you if you continue to want to make yourself feel like you need to have a "certain score" in order to feel guaranteed into a college. although i acknowledge that there are certain score ranges in certain colleges, you must understand that getting perfect scores doesn't guarantee anybody at all.

i got a lower score than that -____-"
some people told me that colleges don't really care for scores lower than 780-790
on the korean SAT II since majority of the people that takes it gets an 800.
take it again if you think you can get a better score next time.
but if you don't wanna take it again, you don't have to since that's still a pretty good score :]

Seriously.
Since when is a 770 anything, LOW ? If your score is anything over 700, there is nothing low about that number. Stop comparing yourselves to others because that's a ridiculously good score. You're a sophomore. Be proud of yourself.

no, don't. it looks like #'s are everything to you and you're eager to appear "perfect".
no.
no. colleges will know you are capable of more since they'll notice you only took it once.

Now the highly competitive schools aren't going to accept you just because you have a 4.0 GPA or that you score 800 on your subject tests. They want students who have more than just grades and scores; they want students who have extracurricular activities, sports, leadership positions, etc. An all arounder basically. That's what's going to increase your chances of getting in, standing out. Everyone who applies to highly competitive schools have good grades and scores.
