Pleaseeee help me!
I was waxing my upper lip today.
And my skin ripped off with the wax! This has never happened before.
It's BURNING, and it's RED.
It hurts so much, and it's embarrassing, ]:
What do I do? I can't put makeup to cover up the redness because it's really sensitive since it doesn't have the outer layer of skin on it.

How long will it be before it heals?

Editttt--
Last night, I put 후시딘(FUCIDIN) on my upper lip.
I woke up, and my upper lip is REALLY tight(What does this mean?!, when I'm trying to eat or something and my lip stretches, it HURTS!), and still burning.

I put some aloe on, and it still burned but some of the redness went away.
Now I'm putting on 후시딘 again.

& This might seem REALLY disgusting, but I didn't wash my face last night or this morning because I knew the chemicals from my face wash would burn the affected area.

Please please give me advice on what to do!
I posted this in the Health section, then I realized it goes here, blush.gif

Edit again blush.gif

I put makeup on it cause I went out. phew.gif
I guess my skin got really dry so it started to flake. I peeled a piece of skin off already.
What's going to happen?

Should I get Mederma or whatever, medicine for scars? I'm using a medicine for the burn, MEBO (it's chinese). It works well, so far.

OMG, tha sounds awful! >.< U POOR THING!!! Just say you fell over or something if anybody asks ;D

Anyways, u seem to know what to do, keep going with the aloe vera and try not to apply to many chemicals, it takes a while for skin to recover from being RIPPED OFF. O _________O
I remember when I was in a car crash I bruised my chin in the same way , the outer layer of skin was scrathed off- the hospital just covered it with a big band-aid that absorbed the fluids (donno the word, bu the icky stuff that will come out of your skin if it's ripped off) and I had to wear it for a day. Then I just wasn't allowed to use makeup (thank GOD that it was the holidays! XD ) and not any chemicals on it.
I know it sounds awful, but you should try not to do anything to rash.
Be sensible, even though it's embarrasing. FIGHTING; hope it heals quickly!

I'm really sorry this happened to you. :[

Have you tried something with ginger? I don't know if this will be effective, but for open wounds...that's what I've been told to use to make it heal faster, and not scar. :x

I met this guy who waxed under his eyes cause he gets beard/hair all the way there. And it happened to him too, he went to those beauty/facial places and chemist and they told him to apply Bio-oil every 5 mins, it was gone within a week. This was a friend of a friends and I only saw him for this first time after he used Bio-oil, and if he didn't say so, I wouldn't even know there was anything wrong with his face before, it was flawless.

wash your face with warm water, doesn't mean you can't wash your face at all! o.o

OMG
That happened to me too - well not my whole upper lip, but a part of it ohmy.gif And was right before a church meeting too- So embarrasing tongue.gif But back to yor quistion - when I went out, I just covered it with a bit of foundation - but that a bit uncomfortable. Or else I just left it like that (didn't want to make it worser) - My excuse was that I had had a accident - but I think anyone guessed, what really had happened:(

I would rekommend vaseline - but only when you are at home - you don't want to look weird at school.

Omg. That sucks. O.O

I dont know what to do but all i can say is don't go to whoever did your wax thing ever again. and don't do it yourself. Go to a place where a lot of people recommend it. or a family who has a license.

My mom does all of mine and so far nothing went wrong.. She has a license.

Put vasaline on it.

I think it makes it hurt less and heal or something.

oh no.. thats terrible..
how is it now???
well, I guess you shouldnt use that wax anymore... :S
which product is it?
I usually use sugar wax, because its not as strong, and i find it works pretty well,
and the good thing is that you can wash it off with water if it hurts, cuz its water soluble~
I hope it gets better really quickly!~

I was in a car accident and the seat belt basically scrubbed off the top layer of skin on my neck ... it burned so badly! but when I was in the ER they didnt give me anything to help it so when I finally went home i still took showers and lightly wiped /patted that area with a cloth ... then I put ALOT of neosporin on where it just looked like my neck was dripping lol but it helped the pain alot and there was no scarring after that - i wouldn't peel off the skin, let it flake off itself or not that can cause scarring also

i think it took me about a week for the redness and everything to go down
