My dad bought this new Zune MP3 player for me (but I didn't ask for it, Lol)...I've never ever heard of this brand before.

I'm kind of wondering...Is it good? Has anyone here ever had one? Because I want to know before I just take it and then find out later how much it annoys me...XP

I'm tempted to get one because of the large screen and good storage

It has all the functionalities of the usual Ipod Video except it has a built-in FM transmitter as well as bluetooth + wifi. You can wirelessly transfer data from one Zune user to another.

New zunes are going to be available soon if not already. They are alot thinner and is much improved I believe.

i have the brown 30gb zune. =] it's pretty good. Esp after the last update..

the wireless syncing stuff is really nice, and it's really easy to set it up.
the battery life is pretty good, as long as you don't leave on the wireless. if you have the wireless on all the time it totally kills your battery.

the only thing i don't like about it is that it doesn't display asian letters. =[ it all shows up as boxes..

i heard that you could only put music on there that you got from their music library. and that once you cancel your subscription, those songs cease to work. and that when you share songs with other zune users, you only have the songs for either three plays or three days (i forget which =P)

OMG, yes I know!!! I noticed that I got REALLY annoyed!!!

Hmm...So it's pretty much like an Ipod...Maybe better...But it doesn't support Asian characters which plays a big part on me. XP (I barely have any English songs at all.)

Is it too late to return? I already put all my songs on it...Could I just delete it all off and return? It's only been about 3 days or so.

EDIT: Aww...I saw how much it really costs and now I don't want to make my dad return it since he got a good deal on it. And it has all of these pros and cons, I don't know what to do!! Ah! DX It holds tons of songs, but waaaay too much. So, I could use the rest of that space for videos, but I can't really put them on. (I'd only be putting anime on there because I don't really like to watch other kinds of shows on those kinds of things, for some reason...XD) But, I love how it can post the pictures of the album cover, Lol. And the sound quality is really good. But, it's huge! But, that's useful for videos. Which I'm not even sure I'll put on. XP And, it really annoys me how all the Asian characters come out as a bunch of boxes. I don't know what to press. -sigh- Lol. this is hard for me to decide. x.x

it doesn't display asian characters, and battery dies pretty fast. people say its bulky, but it can fit in your pocket and you don't have to worry about it snapping like the nano.

I assume you're not from the U.S or into modern technology to have not heard of the Zune.

But it's a great multimedia player, and has a big screen.

too bad it doesn't work for the latest firmware versions. if it did i'd ask my dad to try to find one of the new 80 gb ones for me down in the states. the stupid font thing was the #1 reason i didn't want a zune. well, that and the fact that Microsoft went ahead and continued to copy the worst part of Apple's iPod strategy: the software syncing requirement!

they're also good alternative for ipods. i kind of regret when i got a sandisk player instead of that coming out xD but i learn to love my sandisk anyway.. sexy alloy casings will never change my mind. hehehe

It's like a cross between iPod & Sony PSP! Haha.
It supports wireless synching? I felt like getting one.. Until I found out it doesn't support Asian fonts. LOL.

I just recently got the 80GB Zune, and all I have to say is I LOVE IT! Almost all my songs are Korean, Chinese, or Japanese and I don't care too much that the Zune can't read those fonts anyways because I can't read it haha =)

The software improved from their first version a lot. I'm not computer or software pro to know the big different but the Zune is pretty easy to use. I used to own an IPOD and was never satisfied with it, I like the ZUNE because I really can customized to my own needs and I feel that my ZUNE reflects me somehow.

Enough of me talking, but I just love ZUNE. The 80GB is the best, I upgraded because the new ones are thinner =)

ZUNE players are only sold in the US. That's probably why they haven't added unicodes to their software. Give them a couple more years, they'll sure to have it.
