i recently crashed my car and i need to fix it up asap.

it's a lexus rx300. basically the right side has one long scratch across both doorsand little patches here & there.
the left side has a big dent in the rear. it's right below the gas tank and it's basically from the door to the bumper.
and the engine is messed up (noticeable differences are that the wheel shakes + there's weird noises coming from the engine)
and something is "crooked" there according to my mom..
so where is the nearest lexus dealer that can fix up my car in the bay area?

please let me know.. thanks =]

Lexus dealers will not do body work. They may replace it but they won't pull dents, buffer scratches and what not. You will have to find a body shop.

Being that there's something "crooked" is real vague. I honestly couldn't tell you what it is and neither could a mechanic.

I know a very good body shop, but you must also evaluate if the car is worth repairing or not. If you have collision damage insurance on your RX300, go ahead and claim it, which if serious enough, might result in a buyout from the insurance company, or if you want to keep it, it gets a salvage title slapped on it. Otherwise its out of pocket and its going to be very costly.

Secondly, the body damage you describe sounds like SEVERAL thousand in repair...

Anyways, I know a good shop (that i've dealt with a few times) in San Francisco:

Call Car Collision
1774 Mission Street
San Francisco, CA 94103
Phone:(415) 861-8440
http://www.callcarcollision.com/

Speak to Claudio, he's the owner of the shop and very nice guy too. Top rated on Yelp.com too...

thanks.. i already know it's gonna cost several thousands but i just don't know how much.
most likely $5000-$10000.

i don't know whether to claim it on my insurance or not because i'm a minor :x
and i really love my car so i want to keep it..

thanks for the recommendation though.

I think it would be a good idea to post the area you live in or want the shop to be located. The Bay is a large area.

Another thing is that the Lexus RX300 is worth anywhere from $6000 from the poorest condition (which in your case would be its value damaged) to $20000 in showroom quality. Depending on model year, it may or maynot be worth repairing at all. I would say (looking at a value chart here), if you car is within 1999-2001, don't bother repairing, buying a used Lexus RX300 of the same year is probably a better idea.

If you do report this claim, your collision and/or comprehensive coverage will skyrocket (esp. the collision) and for minors that a very expensive price to pay per year ($3-5K). So if you decide not to claim it, then I recommend selling the car as is, as a mechanic's special and buy another RX300 or any other car for that matter. If the car is registered under your name, which of course then the insurance would be too, then only your insurance would go up. If it was under you parents name, then what they pay (to have you as a driver under them) will also go up....

i'm in the east bay.

my car is 2001 silversport edition so i really don't want to let it go.
i love the black on black. ph34r.gif
it's gonna be so difficult to find another one. sad.gif
it's kbb price is around $26000. but i got it for less than that.

i don't think my parents care about the insurance right now though.. so i think it's ok?
it's under their name.

either way, i think my parents just want to get it fixed asap.
