What Are Those Standing For? Just Wondering

Many different new phones are coming out now and all of them has some different big letters on the name.

Like U600 samsung, K8001 Sony Ericsson and also W but i'm sure there are more.
What do they really stand for?

Honestly, i think... NOTHING.
They just happen to use letters along with model numbers... probably?
Since when we speak of 'product' numbers they always use random letters + *insert set of numbers here*.
Anyways... yeah I guess... nothing. smile.gif

my brother once told me what those stands for but i dont remember, either do he anymore.

sony ericsson W line is for their walkman phones.
i dont know any other ones..

the letterz are symbolic for each series in each brand..

Ya, basically the series for each model. Like the walkman and cybershot lines, also the N series from Nokia. It's also a way to distinguish them from each other.

i know the U in U600 stands for the Samsung Ultra series (very slim phones)

it's weird because the D900 was part 1 of the Ultra edition and the U600 is the part 2 lol..

well, like others said, the w in se stands for walkman phones
dunno bout others =\

but the K series seem to be camera phones
and Z series im guessing...design phones?
i seriously have no idea
