I broke my right ankle back in eighth grade while I was playing skipping rope. It sounds like a really stupid way of breaking a bone and I have to agree with those who think it is a really bizarre way to injure yourself. I still had school later on in the day and I walked home (a thirty-minute walk up one hill, down another, and up a huge one - then through a forest). My decision to just forget about it was not a smart idea, so I had a feeling that my ankle got worse since I ignored it until I got home when my mom finally realized that I was limping all over the place.
I managed to fracture the same ankle back in grade twelve. Rather than landing improperly on my ankle due to a game of skipping rope, I fractured my ankle while I was playing a game of basketball. It happened when I went to church with my ex-best friend's youth group (I am not Christian, but she invited me to meet her friends), so I decided to not say anything since I had no ride to get home and the parents were not around. Basically, I was jumping up to get the basketball, but one of the kids were going for it, too. I obviously did not want to hurt the kid, so I avoided him through mid-air; hence the reason why I landed improperly. From that night on, I learned that playing basketball with guys is fine, but not when little kids are playing, too.
I could have fractured my head once, too. It was on New Year and I was dead tired because my ex-best friend invited me out to spend the entire night with her youth group. Basically, we had like no sleep and when I got home, I went to take a shower. I completely blanked out when I had one leg in and I was just about to step my entire body fully into the tub. I ended up falling backwards without knowing and the back of my legs got caught on the edge. So I fell and I ended up banging up my head against the tile floor. Thank goodness my family was at home and they heard me or I didn't know what would happen. It was so hard to try to get to the door and at least unlock it so my mom can help me.

i tripped and had a hair-line fracture on my foot. it was bad. it swelled up and it was blue, purple, and myriad of other colors for a good couple of weeks. i had crutches but i never used them. i was stupid to walk to CAMPUS while i was in pain from walking on my broken foot .... but it was MORE of a pain to lunge that thing around on the school trolley, on campus, and in class.
It's too easy to forgive. I love revenge. Forgiving is not my favorite thing. I can forget by indifference, but not forgive.
