so I took the PSAT last year as a junior, and my selection index score was a 201 and my percentile was 97. I got an envelope in class last year I think? or maybe it was early this year. anyways, the envelope said congratulations, something something. the thing is, I don't remember what the letter said, and I don't know where it is D: lol. I know it wasn't super important, but I want to know o__o so what are the qualifications for commended and semifinalist? Every state has different qualifications in terms of scores...I'm from CA.
thanks for your help (:

Weren't the apps for semifinalist due already? All the semifinalists at my school already turned in their forms. If I remember correctly (I could be wrong), the letter you received is just saying congrats for scorin over 200, but you're not qualified to be a semifinalist. I could be wrong, but all the semifinalists at my school scored around 220-240.

I heard that you had to be in the 99+ percentile to be a semi-finalist, and then they narrow now the finalists through stuff like extra curricular and stuff like that
Thanks mama_gir1!

Yeah I think Cali's was like 217 or around there for being a semi-finalist.
