New Gamestop Rule?

i walked to gamestop today and i was going to trade in some games. the guy that worked there said i had to have a drivers license. i used to trade in games all the time last year and i was 14 that time. is this a new rule there or what?

whaa? Maybe in just you area, where do you live? I've tried trading in and it's worked fine for me...

Were you trading for money or credit? Credit from what I remember doesn't need age verification. Money though, needs age verification.

i dont see why driver's license only . maybe you can provide ID if you're underage.

What, You can trade for MONEYS??? They always do credit here in Canada...is it USA only?

i would trade credits if you're going to buy games again since they would give more credit than money.

well I exchanged stuff there before and they asked for my ID.

or when I buy M games...lol I look too young but I'm 19 already sleep.gif

in australia u gotta be over 18 to trade in at EB, plus provide 100 point ID ie. driver's license or Passport etc.

When I trade in some games sometimes I get asked for ID. I really don't care.

im totally against trading in games to gamestop...they rip you off so bad its not even funny...

i was never asked for it when i was younger (nor do i see any of the younger kids being asked for an ID now)...maybe its just your area...but i just think that guy was probably being a douche...

Of course, you need to show that you can drive to trade in games.

lol. Well they do need to verify who you are. Just in case you give them broken games...I suppose.
