Guys, i know i may sound stupid, i wish ive never done it. Ive been secretly smoking for 2 years, nobody but my few close friend know i smoke. So recently i have breathing difficulties due to smoking, and i watched the news said you might wanna get lung tested if you have breathing difficulties, etc. Anywho, i have all THREE that was stated caused by lung disease.

Now, if any soompiers could help me. Where can i get my lung tested without letting my parents know? (Vancouver, BC)

may i ask what symptoms you have?
also you can go to the doctors without your parents knowing as long as you go to a doctors office you've been to in the past, if you haven't gone to the doctors office before you need to bring your care card. i've smoked for quite awhile and recently my friend had some trouble with his lungs so I might be able to help out

I was a smoker for about close to 3 years. It's been a year since I've quit smoking and I have difficulty breathing sometimes too, along with my chest being sore..as in when I breathe everything feels clogged up inside and theres sharp pains here and there. I've coughed up blood a few times before but I've never really done anything about it. The only time I wheez is when I cough which isn't that often. If you're that worried about having lung disease then I suggest you just tell your parents that you aren't feeling well so that they'll schedule you an appointment. I believe if you are underage, a parent must be present with you at your appointment. Yet then again, that could also depend on the hospital's policy. But whatever you tell your doctor is fully confidential unless it's about taking drugs or some type of abuse. Anyway, I hope you get better and I hope it's nothing serious.

I don't think they can release your medical history without your consent, so I think you'll be fine.

im pretty sure since yu're 18, they wont liek call your parents and what not
when you jsut write your info, just make sure the number they contact will be on your cell.
that's the best way. or go to a different doc where your parents dont know anyone there or any of the doctors.
i hope you feel better and wish you luck ^^
