how fast does the cannon take photos. my current samsung camera takes a good 2 seconds before it actually takes a picture and annoys me cuz I can't get the right pictures sometimes. do the cannon sd series have fast time?

Olympus stylus 410..it's not very sensitive when taking shots, but im fine with it.

I have the Nikon Coolpix 7900. Very nice camera. 7mp and it works like a charm, especially in low light. I hardly use flash unless it's completely dark in the room.

usually when i want to take a close up picture, i turn the camera setting to my highest megapixel [mine's 5.1 too] and take the picture at a distance where the thing i'm taking a picture of is clear, and then i just crop it to the right size, since the picture's like, bigger than a wallpaper anyway. but i'm not a photographer or anything...

Hehe..I have this one too..just got it last night...the damn salesman talked me into getting this...well I wanted to but geez he was SO persuasive..bought it for $129.99 + $33 store warranty so spent like $170ish...he told me that that was a GREAT price for the camera..I took his word for it!! this is mine 5.1 megapixel it was supposed to be 400 but I got it for 200

Canon Power Shot S400 for over 2 years? A lot of people I know with the same camera as me get error messages from this camera, but it hasn't done that to me yet! I've been dropped it on gravel area and it only scratched up the four corners of my camera. I totally thought I broke the lense...but nope! Tough as ever! Very trusty!
but of course I would rather have a SLR for the great quality and functions...but carrying around a small camera for quick shots with friends is great.
