Yeah Gaspard does have a French accent.
No offence, but I don't even see how people thought of him to be Edward in the first place.
Honestly I think everyone just jumped on the bandwagon once someone suggested him. :x
I mean yeah he's good looking, but he strikes me as scary.

Plus it is harder to lose a French accent than a British one.

Wow a lot of people still don't agree with the casting.
Really, the bashing is getting old so they should just chill. I am going to be so amused if they change their opinions once they see the movie.

Hey guys! I've been a silent fan...but anyway. I'm excited that Robert's playing Edward. He might not be the perfect one..but come on, Edward's fictional and there's nobody on Earth suited perfectly to play him.
I think Bella's perfect. She looks unique, different and she has a natural beauty.
Aah! Can't wait for the movie.

I'm not sure if that's the the same for MTV Canada.

But either way I have satellite so I'll have to watch it on the American MTV channel.

Gaspard has a really heavy accent so he would've been the casting crew's LAST choice. I'm so sick and tired of all this bull crap with everyone hating on Robert. I think it's a plus that he's British, but that's a whole other story. XD Like everyone else, I can't wait for this!

Am I the only one who thinks that Robert is no more Robert..but Edward. I mean...I call him Edward instead of Robert everytime I see his pictures.
He's just so Edward to me!

he is so funny.. dont you guys think he seems awkward in all his interviews? he's always been that way since HP..hahaha...so sexy!!!!

jackson looks sexy too. now i see that his hair isnt that bad.he and ashley seems to have this thing together..can u guys feel it?
