OPEN CASTING CALL FOR NATIVE TEEN ACTORS

ASPIRING AMERICAN INDIAN ACTORS may want to make a trip to Portland this Saturday.

“Twilight” by Stephenie MeyerThat’s where there’ll be an OPEN CASTING CALL for American Indian males ages 16-18 to play the role of Jacob in the upcoming Summit Entertainment film “TWILIGHT,” directed by Catherine Hardwicke.

Starring Kristen Stewart (“Into the Wild”) and Robert Pattinson (“Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”), the THRILLER-ROMANCE is based on the über popular young adult novel of the same name by Stephenie Meyer.

According to a news release from the Lana Veenker Casting agency, Hardwicke — best known as the director of “Lords of Dogtown” and “Thirteen” — is looking for someone with charm and charisma.

“At this point, Catherine is more concerned about finding someone with the right looks and personality, than she is about prior acting experience. And he needs to be available for sequels,” the release states.

The casting call is from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at Lana Veenker Casting, 2580 N.W. Upshur St. in Portland. Applicants who can’t make it to Saturday’s open call should e-mail their contact information and a photo to talent@slateplease.com.

i kinda wish there wouldn't be a movie though, so i can always picture edward, and those characters, how i want them to be. after i see the movie, and i finish the rest of hte books when it comes out, the actors' faces will always be in my head.

I heard the BEST update ever!!
They're planning to film this movie in Oregon, (my home town)
and it's just soo AWESOME! lol

i've read all three books & im really looking forward to breaking dawn and edwards version of twilight (midnight sun)
im pretty sure the movie is going to be terrible though. the book is always much better than the book and the movie is getting built up so much that i bet that its going to be a disappointment (in my opinion.) but i still want to see it just to see how itll be.

although i heard alot of the scenes are going to get taken out in the movie ):

I'm a bit iffy on who they chose for Edward's character though, but I'll just have to wait until the movie is released.
They're going to use 'River Flows In You' for Bella's lullaby? .__.' It's a nice song... but I think it would've been a nice touch if it was a new composition just for the movie. ><''

I just hope they don't cut out a lot of scenes from the book. But apart from that, I'm looking forward to it! (:
