About Edward being a wimp in the book: This is in Bella's perspective. If you read Eclipse, you would know why he is so scared to touch her. And also, in Twilight, he was trying to test his limits because he's so attracted to her blood. He doesn't know if one touch could lead to him biting her to death. He gets more comfortable intimately later on in the series. But remember that that was the beginning of their relationship... And the teaser was just a sneak preview of what Twilight is about, so whatever protrayal we see may not be the full picture. If he's stronger in the movie than in the books, I'm okay with it, but ... I think it would be better if he was careful/cautious, because his exploration of his limits was what made the whole sexual tension happen (probably what made so many girls squeal).

As for Bella, I think she was always that tomboyish, strong girl, but she seems weak because she's surrounded by supernatural beings. Although, she seemed EXTREMELY weak after New Moon. She never became the same person she was before =='

I couldn't agree with you more. From reading Twilight, you get a sense of how careful Edward has to be with Bella. We don't see it much since Bella is telling story. We'll hear more when Midnight Sun comes out! Just like you said, through out the series, Edward becomes more comfortable around her, especially in Eclipse. If the movie portrays the Vampires as enhanced superheroes then I'm ok with it. As long they don't exaggerate. In the end of the teaser, Edward just took a LONG JUMP. He isn't flying from what I see. From MTV interviews, Robert did his best portraying how careful Edward has to be with Bella.

I never thought Bella being tomboyish, well maybe a little. She was never the girly girl. She is strong but Jacob and Edward make her look like a whimp. How is she a different person after New Moon?

Some news on the film sequel.

We will start writing Book 2 by the summer… so yeah. The goal is, particularly with Kristen and stuff, and then these books happen one after the other, and so hopefully [we] can figure it out from a scheduling standpoint, would be to do Book 2 and 3 together, because it just makes sense from production and the age of the actors and stuff to do it. We’ll be well prepared for it come December.

To tell the truth, Bella was sort of pissing me off in New moon XD
But, the feeling/emotion in New moon showed a real difference from Twilight, which was all mostly happy lovey-dovey.

She's scared of loosing him again. In New Moon she was depressed, bad. Bella doesn't want to experience the aching hole in her chest. Probably she'll become independent again in Breaking Dawn. ^^
