Sorry, this just really irks me. How long has it been since Robert's been cast? Why are people still complaining? He auditioned and he got the role for a reason. Sure, he's not that good looking to some people (I mainly blame the picture that was posted on Stephenie's website) but looks aren't everything. I know Edward is perfect -- too perfect for someone to actually exist. If there was, he would also have to have the talent. If the dude's good looking and can't act to save his own life, I'd jump off a cliff. Talent & charm > Looks. I already put this on my profile but here I go again. This is from Stephenie Meyer herself.



So my point is: Give the guy a damn chance. The movie's not even out yet for Pete's sake. Can you please at least watch it first before you judge someone?

As for me, I've learned to accept Robert. Of course I wasn't happy at first, but I watched clips and looked at pictures of him. He's incredibly amazing, really (especially in Vanity Fair; minor role though). Seriously, if it wasn't for this role, I don't think I would've do anything to learn more about him (Cedric Diggory didn't really do anything for me). I think he has that Edward charm too.

And one complaint: I don't like how you guys go off topic sometimes. Sorry, it's just that I'm looking through the thread and I read all of these conversations about Harry Potter, some book place, etc. I know there's barely any updated info on the filming but still. =/ Hope it's not too much.

Other than that, thank you so much for keeping us updated with the news. Can't help but visit this thread often. I absolutely can't wait for the movie.

Yay! You go girl! I absolutely dislike when people complain now (Though, I'm a little bit of a hyprocrite because I was one of those complainers before, but I got over it... BUT who isn't one? ). I learned to accept Robert, too, and I couldn't be more happier with him playing Edward. I'm actually really happy with the rest of the cast. And I have lots and lots of faith that they'll do a wonderful job.

^And there's also the fact that people are being unappreciative that the movie is even being in production. Without these actors, the movie wouldn't even begin. From what has been said on Twilightmoms about the time they went to the set and met Cam, Robert, and Peter... everyone is working hard to impress and satisfy the hungry fans, some of which are attacking them with negative comments just because they don't fit the "image" of the Cullen family, etc. I kind of feel like all of them shouldn't be working this hard if fans are just going to keep putting them down. So let's appreciate that they're even excited to film this movie and want to do a great job... and read the books to get into character.

As for the movie, they are pretty much casting every character in the book aren't they? ^^;
I wouldn't be surprised if they announced who is playing Mike's mom before we hear about Jacob

wow alot of people sure didnt like robert,but i dont understand why theyre judging him already w/o even seeing the movie. in my opinion if robert can bring edward to life then im satisfied.i think all the cast member fits their characters alot. people be open minded alil, like the old saying "DONT JUDGE THE BOOK BY ITS COVER", im waiting patiently for the movie then i will judge.thats my 2 cents

hahah. yeah i actually picture edward like with black or dark brown hair and super pale skin. lol. there's like a guy in my comp graphics class who looks exactly like edward for me! like perfect! like i was reading the book, and then like i kinda have an image of edward on my mind, then when i went to my computer graphics class, i was like........... "EDWAAAAARDD".... hahah... but i never imagined edward with reddish hair.. oh well.. i hope Robert will portry Edward's character well. hahah..

and uhm like i think the girl really fits Bella.. that's how i picture her...

but the sam uley.... i pictured him like kinda good looking.. but oh well. hahah.....

im looking forward to the Jacob part!! hahah.

TM: How does it feel to be the leader of the Cullen family? How are things for the Cullen family both on and off screen?

Peter: I'm about 12-14 years older than most of the cast. So in a way I feel like the dad of the group. We all get along pretty great. It's interesting because in a way, we've taken on some of the traits of our characters, so it is easier to see each other in the roles.

The official Twilight site (Summit) are featuring a new graphic, in place of the old one (basically the Twilight book cover but with Catherine Hardwicke under Stephenie's name). I don't like it. I don't like how the colour looks on black. =_=;; It looks like a Disney movie.
