Well then, the next day (Thursday)...I had a group presentation. The night before, my group and I met to practice our presentation. After the group meeting, we said that we were going to meet one another again before class starts at 8:00 am...so after the meeting I stayed at school until 1 am. I woke up at 6:00 am, only getting about 4 hours of sleep. I got to school and checked my email at around 7:15 am. Then, went to class. My partner was there and I told her to pull up her email so that we can get our powerpoint and when she did...my professor sent us an email saying that class was cancelled today!!! We were like, "what the hell!!...Yeppie!" so yeah, it was a last minute notification...but it would have been super nice if she notified us the night before. but oh well, my group is well prepared now. But damn, I wanted to get this presentation done and over with~
So yeah, those are my two stories.....share yours!

i hate it too when professors miss class.
cause im paying for it sucker!!!!
i only missed... i havent had a professor miss class this semester.
so im lucky.
i usually stay at least 15 minutes.
a part of me wants the professor to never show up!
and the other part is like.... 'where my money at?!'
but. i usually hate it when the professor misses class.
cause, i, as a student try my best to attend class.
and it's hella expensive too! shoot.

Actually.. it's happened to me once last year. So, we only have biology labs once a week, and it's a 3-hour class each time.. so no one EVER misses that class, since it's soo damn important. So no matter how busy or tired or sleepy I was (lab is 7 AM).. I still have to drag my butt out of bed, drive half a freakin hour.. get stuck in some kind of morning traffic because the whole world always decides to leave their house for work at the same freakin time! Good thing its easy to find parking super early because not many people are on campus yet... Anyway.. yeah.. upon arriving to class, the professor (who was usually there before any students), was not present.. that's the first.. so everyone just walks around or sits and chats... 10 minutes go by... nothing.. no professor... (no one leaves yet because this class is so important, people could usually leave in 10 minutes like most universities).. 20 minutes... people start leaving... some people, being the GOOD students they are (not I) starts working on their work for other classes or stuff they need to finish.. So, sometime before the hour mark, not sure exactly when, I'm like.. screw this, I'm outta here (with a couple other people)..... anyway, NEXT WEEK.. we all came back, and the prof apologizes for not showing up to class because he got ill! (and supposedly he emailed everyone that same morning, but I sure as heck did not get that email.. and apparently no one else checked their email, that's why they showed up to class.) a couple people even said they stayed all 3 hours! Holy crap they're dedicated! I could have had like 5 hours more to sleep! geeeeeee! (my next class wasn't for a while)
sorry for my long story.. that's is why.. I hate early..LONGG classes. argh!

and he is very picky if people walk into his class late because when you open the door, it makes this REALLY loud noise.
Anyways three times this semester he didn't show up
and on top of that, on the first day of classes he told us that we must stay in the class even if he didn't show up for 15 minutes.
(in my school, if the professor doesn't come within 15 mins, you are obligated to leave)

It was our gender and society class and it was our last class for the day. since we have a 4 1/2 break (@.@ yeah i know.) we decided to go out of school and went to the mall. when we got back, we waited for the professor and after 30 minutes of waiting we dashed out of the class! XD but then, we could've stayed at the mall for a bit longer if she notified us that she won't be coming for that day, >_<;
and a whole lot of stories! my professors on our majors have that illness. ;_; lol

The sad part is, about 20 students and I actually had nothing better to do than sit around and wait for her.

Everyone's usually tired in the morning, even though this class starts @ 10am. Our professor is so freakin' goofy though. It's happened probably 3x now.
But the first time, when the first ten minutes passed, a couple ppl here and there left, and then after 15 minutes, the TA told us that we can leave after 5 minutes.
I half-wished that she wouldn't show up, but when everyone was getting ready to pack up their things, we heard heels running down the hall and she comes popping in the door yelling "Don't leave! Don't leave!"

u have to show up for class and there'll be a note on the door saying class is cancelled. one time there wasnt even a note and we all sat there for more than 20 min before someone put the sign on the door.
unfortunately
its usually the class in which i have 3 hour break in btween and its my last class. meaning i wait 3 hours go to class find out its cancelled realize i waited 3 hours for nothing and end up going home when i could have been ages ago.
