So i were just on Expansy today looking at phones, but i dont know what to buy so i came
to soompi for help, theres no price limit so it can be $800 i dont really care except, i want
something easy to use and no touch screen since i find touch screen phones gets annoying after
several calls in the same night while im busy.. (no pointing at any phones in particular)

i want an nice phone that looks well designed and probably a nice camera =],
yes i can wait a few months if its really nice, i been thinking and looking at N95 8GB,
but i dont want the same phone as my bro, so meh i want something diffrent, i looked
at N81 8GB but im still abit curious since i want a Samsung branded one or Sony Ericson's

in size..., i dont want a PDA either since i already have one.

the samsung u600 and u700 are quite nice and have a 3.2mp camera
and theyre both really slim slide phones. u600 is 10.9mm and u700 is around 12.6mm i think

but if you don't like the touch sensitive buttons there's the samsung G600
it has 5mp camera and it's a slide phone
not sure about the price though

Get the Nokia N82

Its the N95 with extra features. And its not a slider.
Its slimmer and it has a xenon flash, which is better than the LED flashlight on the n95. Has a motion sensor too so u can rotate the UI which is neat.
N82 has everything. GPS, S60v3 so u can add 3rd party apps. 5MP AF camera with xenon flash.
No price limit... lucky.

i said i didnt want a touch screen device, and ive been looking at samsung, but there devices look butt ugly to me now,
and nokia 81 8gb has so many flaws..., i just dont know what to get, since nothing is eye catching yet

I ignored this thread to see if anyone could have helped you out yet, but I guess no one suggested the "right" phone for you.

So, if I read your needs right. You wanted a slider, pretty good camera, good design, no touchscreen, and a good battery? Hmm.....this will be tough since the N95 is the only one I can think of right now. BTW, what is your carrier? It'll help out finding a phone.

SE W910, I don't know how good of a camera you wanted since you said "probably a nice camera."
Samsung G600, design isn't stylish, but it doesn't hurt to take a look.
Nokia 6500 Slide
Motorola RIZR series, a whole bunch.
Rest are Samsungs, but since you said you don't really like there designs, I won't list the others.

That's about it. I would think the N95, W910, or 6500 slide, would suit you best. The W910 wins in the design contest out of the three but with an ok camera though.

I'm in pretty much the same situation as you. I was thinking maybe the Samsung G800. I think it just came out, it's a bit thick, and but it's okay looking from the pictures. Not sure...There are a lot of similarities to the Nokia N95, which I wanted before, but apparently picture quality is better, so I think I'm going with this phone.

LG Shine and SonyEricsson S500i are the only nice slide phones I can think of.

These are not slide phones, but theyre pretty sweet.
