Most likely you will have to sign up with like 2 years worth of AT&T phone service at like $60/month so you're still paying for it even after you paid for it.

Overall, do you think it's risky jailbreaking it.. or, is it pure ease? lol hmm i have the 16 gig v2 touch.. and.. the battery dies really fast.. for ex. no video viewing / minimum internet surfing / and 2 hours of music. I got the touch as a gift.. and.. I don't want to risk any chances with ruining it by jailbreaking ;;

How about a horrendous laptop webcam capture?

I got that off of youtube, probably one of the blurriest videos I have ever seen.
I clicked a few others and had no problems reading it. Some were a bit softer though

Its about this big on the screen... and a little softer but im used to browsing websites with font sizes at this size on the mobile safari so I have no issues.

If you just listen to music, where the screen is off and your wifi is turned off too you should get like 20+ hours worth of music! I think even in worse case you should get at least 12 from the reviews I have read.

I would take it to an apple store to get a replacement!

I am not sure how many hours I get, but its over 3 hours with browsing the internet and constantly refreshing pages with meebo.

Most of the websites out there say its impossible to brick an ipod touch. In other words... you can start the transfer and somehow disconnect the power and it will be fixable. You can corrupt the files and try to put it in and it will be fixable.

I am not 100% sure if the WinPwn is completely safe for the touch because it writes to other chips and can even change the apple power on logo to another one... but people can even survive that.

So the worse thing that can happen is you loose all the music on it and some time to reload all the internal software but I dont think its all that significant

However... wait until july.. go in and say this thing doesn't last!
Then... you will get the OFFICIAL apple supported installer for free! (When it comes out, it will cost $10 to upgrade to the 2.0 software in july [currently 1.1.4 is newest])

The app store will be like itunes. So far reports say, about 70% of the software will be free and the rest will be from $0.99+

well.. i stupidly got the 2.0 version.. (seemed like i wasted 10 bucks....) so do i have to degrade it all the way to 1.1.1 to jailbreak? sometimes when im running an app, and try to go back to home screen, the screen just flashes white and nothing happens... after that the ipod "resets" is this normal?

and when i bought a game and the 2.0 update... it doesnt show on my "Purchased" list... so if i have to restore my ipod.. how can i get those two back?

one other thing is.. is there anyway to make my itunes automatically sync music only? i want to manually sync my videos

No, you just use WinPwn 2.0 or xPwn (I followed this guide because WinPwn 2.0 wasn't out yet) to modify the 2.0 firmware you got from Apple, put your Ipod into DFU mode then do the restore. After its done, you will have a nice empty touch again

If it doesn't show up as purchased, at least see if it shows up in your AppStore. You should seriously check out some of the free programs they offer...
