Reese Witherspoon ranked number one on The Hollywood Reporter�s annual list of the highest-paid actresses. The 31-year-old actress commands $15 million to $20 million a movie.

Angelina Jolie came in second, and Cameron Diaz came in third with a $15 million-per-movie requirement.

While Angelina and Reese are now asking for $15 million-$20 million per movie, they frequently agree to �no-quote deals� � deals in which the studios actually pay them far less than their usual fee (usually when they take on supporting roles).

yay. reese. the list makes sense...but cameron diaz...at number 3...really?!

aww i think kate winslet should be up there. but i suppose it's because she likes to fly under the radar.
also, maybe it's because i've seen enchanted and it's stuck in my head, but amy adams has been getting a lot of buzz lately...with junebug and everything, so she'll probably be up there soon.

with a couple of exceptions, this list has all the really talented actresses up there.

Like Reese or not, she's the one with the best box office track record. The Legally Blonde franchise was a mega-hit, Sweet Home Alabama did well on the strength of her name alone. What does Natalie have. Star Wars? That movie did well because it's Star Wars and most people complained about her acting in the second and third sequels anyway. Hugo Weaving stole the show for V for Vendetta even though he was behind a mask for the whole movie.

i mean, charlies angels was an ok movie (the first one) and what other good movie has she been in?

I definitely agree with Reese as the no. 1. I think she is in the top earners for a while now.
I liked all the movies that she starred in.
