There are a few TRD parts that would improve the car like for example, clutches, radiator cap, and etc... The only thing that I think that would make the Corolla that I'm using is the TRD Exhaust & Muffler! So, should I go for the clutches and etc... besides the exhaust & muffler?

why do you need a more aggressive clutch? is yours slipping? do you track it? also a radiator car doesnt really increase performance it just increases the pressure in the cooling system. an increase in pressure means the boiling point will be higher (basic physics), you dont need that.

Upgrade to TRD suspension parts. I would do that before power. Or...

Amen to that. If you have a 2003+ non-XRS model, start saving up. wink.gif

Just improve the suspension. TRD makes suspension upgrades for the Corolla right? A slight drop would improve handling while increasing the enjoyment of driving. Oh yeah. Gotta love that.

I totally think you can upgrade your car without being a rice burner. My friend did some upgrades (cosmetic and asthetic) to his Honda, but he got all the factory parts from Japan and they were good quality and not cheap. He didn't put a 3 foot spoiler or huge exhaust pipe or gaudy decals...there's definitely a difference between legit and rice burner.

mod it to suit your tastes.
whether people call it a rice burner or not shouldn't bother you as long as you like the car.

I would say don't do it. Pimpn out a Corolla? Are you sure thats what you want to do? I think economy cars should be kept economy. Go out and buy another car you would want to race in. Corolla for DD and your 2nd car for modding =)

Well I would just say that for a daily driver car, a rear sway bar and perhaps the front strut bar should be some mods that you should put on. They don't necessarily have to be TRD. These parts are very easy to bolt right on and they do give a nicer ride and handling ability for a daily driver. I do have to warn you that if you can get ur hands on a front sway bar, be extremely careful that if you get one too big of a diameter, the effects on this FWD car may not be pleasant.

I guess it depends on you. For example, i have a 03 LE Corolla and its completely stock. Currently i treat it as a daily economy car and i hope i could get another car in the future for fun purposes...

I was thinking about modding my corolla too, but then i changed my mind b/c i decided the money i would use to mod the corolla, i rather save it up for my next car.

If i was going to mod it, i would have gotten a TRD CAI if they have it for my model, new suspension and springs sway bars, strut bars.

I didnt bother thinking about the TRD supercharger b/c i normally dont drive over 50 mpg....plus when it snows and it builds, my car normally swerves or gets stuck....i spent 400 bucks on new Good Year tires in october...it snowed about 3 weeks ago...bout 1-2 inches....i was going 20 mph and i felt my car swerving left to right....lol i was cursing my brains out...400 bucks on good year tires and this is the results.. dry.gif Haha, the cop car in front of me at that time was swerving left and right as well.

see what it actually does is adds 25 HP plus 100 brownie points for awesome JDM-ness.

no it actually raises the coolant's boiling point and improves cooling.
