Did anyone receive their PSAT score back? I got mine back yesterday (a day later than most of my friends =_=). Everyone around me is complaining that they're stupid and there's no way they're going to college if they performed like that on the SATs.
So, I've been going around trying to tell people that they still have a year to improve since we're all sophomores so PSAT doesn't count for us anyway, and it's in junior year that it counts.
Anyway, I have NO idea what's supposed to be a "good" score...is there a certain number that's the average or anything above that number is seen as a "good" score?
Well,

I got a ...204...? It says I'm in the 97% percentile for college-*insertwordherethatiforgot* juniors...except I'm not a junior so >>;;???? I need to improve on math (as always). For the individual sections, I don't remember what I got exactly since I had to show my score sheet to this person who is the head of this place I go to. And I forgot to ask for it after he looked at it =_=. Anyway, I know that for the individual sections, if you're a sophomore or younger, they compare your score for the individual sections with other sophomores (or younger). So, for the first section, I was in the 99% percentile, math...was...93% (T_T!!! LKFJKWEJAK THIS IS GOING TO KILL ME NEXT YEAR ): ), and the 3rd section was 99%.
Anyway, is this a good score for a sophomore? I have no idea who qualifies for the national merit scholarship...like, what score is the minimum to qualify (when you take it as a junior)? Hopefully, I'll improve before next October and do super well.
