I am also having a trouble deciding between mp3 players. There are two in particular that I like.
They are both FLASH-BASED mp3 players that hold 8 gigabytes and cost pretty much about the
same [$150 for 4gb, $200-ish for 8gb]. I am under the superstition that hard-disk drives are prone to
breaking and have bad lithium batteries that last only a couple years.
COWON D2

This mp3 player or pmp [portable media/movie player] is awesome and I have heard nothing but
9/10 or 10/10 reviews for it. It has very high quality sound as well as sharp video on a 2.5 inch
screen. Its main feature is the touchscreen that acts much like the ipod touch/iphone. This player
comes with many more features than you can count. A sharp pain, however, is the difficulty in
organizing music. ID3 tags are bugged, and this player only has "one" playlist.
-Sound Quality
-Awesome screen
-User Interface
-Many Features
-Removable memory card, which makes its memory turn into how many memory cards you can buy.
-50 hours of battery, 10 hours for video
The BAD:
Touchscreen - Its good if you like it, bad for "blind" playing.
Frimware is a hassle and often causes more problems than fixes.

IPOD NANO VIDEO

Personally I try not to go with the "norm" and I was very stringent about getting an iPod because of
its social acceptance. Yet the iPod Nano is still an awesome buy, with features that match what
people expect from an mp3 player. It has a 2-inch screen and a reputation for its easiness to play
what you want when you want. Very easy.
-Sound Quality is "okay", but not bad
-2-inch screen has high resolution for its small size
-User Interface is simple and convenient
-And many other things I cannot think of
-BIG NEGATIVE: Inability to take music from iPod, and it uses iTunes!
Can't decide between the two. Both have features I like. Everyone with a Cowon D2 say they would
not trade it for an iPod anyday. Yet people with an iPod seem to love it as much as a baby.
