Got A Question For You Guys 2004 bmw 525i

Okay there's this one private auto dealer who sells used luxury vehicles and they're selling 2004 bmw 525i with Fully loaded with leather throughout, exclusive BMW I-drive amenity control system and sport package with 6-speed manual transmission and the upgraded sport BWM wheels. This vehicle's mileage is 47,316, but the price is only $25,000. I am getting a little suspicious because of the price, because bmw vehicles have a very high resale value and that car can easily go up to 35-36 grand. I'm wondering if the transmission gone bad or maybe the car got into an accident before they're selling it.
what do you guys think? since most of you knows about bmw 5series
i'm thinking i should buy this car instead of brand new bmw 3 series, but something doesn't feel right

I am not sure exactly what features the one you are talking about has, but I would guess the TMV is about 31k. I would definately get a carfax for that car if I were you. If you are serious about getting this car definately take it to a mechanic you trust to inspect it for any frame damage and evidence of repairs to the body panels.

dont trust carfax, take the car to a bmw specialist.

i've check out the vehicle history and it was sold in auction (no wonder it was cheap), privately owned only drove for 3 and 1/2 years and also it was A FLEET VEHICLE (i'm guessing it was a rental vehicle or work car for a specific company). I'm guessing there's a lot of wear and tear since some ppl drive other cars like crap bcuz it's not their own vehicles, but i could be wrong

never trust carfax because it only documents incidents that were reported to police/insurance.
like if it's been hit before, then fixed at owners expense then later sold to the dealership...you'll never know it was in an accident if you just look at carfax because it was never reported to insurance.
it's like the old RX-7 saying...
anyone can say, "oh, it's a rebuilt/replaced engine" even if it's the original. never believe anything that someone claims to have done work on, unless they can provide receipts or you personally know the seller and you're certain that their claims are true. as aznakira suggested, i think you should take the car to a bmw specialist, just to be sure.

yes do not trust it completely, but it is a good basis to go upon. that is why i recommended that if OP was really interested in the car to get it checked out by a specialist that they trust.

haha no im planning to buy another car, technically Outback is not my car but my MOM'S CAR she wanted the outback so it's my gift to her,im paying for the car, and insurance ^^(am i a nice son or what?!?!?!). Anyways i think i'll just stick with the upcoming 128i. WHY 128i u might ask? bcuz i'm not looking for a high performance car, but rather a local car..i was thinking about that 5-series, but ehhhh...i don't trust that car too much.

I'm assuming something happened to the car..
That car is still under BMW warranty. well manual for a 5series definately drops the price.
the dealership might want to get rid of the car.
Get service reports from the dealership for maintenance records.
Bmw provides free maintenance for the first 50k miles
I think either the car was in a wreck or the dealership just wants to sell it quick
