I've always been using Winamp to listen to my songs. But recently I noticed little "popping" noises on all my songs. At first I thought it was just my songs getting corrupted or whatnot.. but then i played them on WMP and there were no "popping" noises.

Anyone have a cure for this?

What programs do u use to listen to music?

i use winamp.

re: your popping noises...check your CPU thread priority in the output preferences. also check if you're running any weird DSP in the preferences settings as well.

I use foobar2000! =] Simple! (and super-customizable, but I'm not elite enough XD)
I'd ask if you were sure that the popping was due to the program, but looks like you're right~ Kinda weird, though

winamp..
been using it for years already..
and its pretty nice..
i've used a lot of players and a lot of them have the tendency to hang after so long yet winamp only does so when i've opened multiple programs

I use winamp, its so good, i like the Bento Skin alot as well =] and you can dock up on the top which matches my GUI,
check the settings, because it could be some settings that are not rightly set up for your computer ^^

I used iTunes for a few years then switched over to Foobar2000. I liked a lot of things about iTunes except the sheer size of the program and excessive functions. It also takes up a lot of memory (or is it RAM?) for me and since I run at lease 3-4 different applications at once. I wanted it to be as fast as possible so I made the switch. It's also really customizable, though I don't exactly know how to make skins. I just apply ones that people already made wink.gif

Been using Winamp for the better part of a decade, but, I don't like the UI management too much, I feel some things should be easier.

Also getting irritated at the playlist orientedness.

I only installed iTunes to get firmware updates on my iPod, other than that, I refuse to turn it on, what a hog.

Might try Foobar.

Foobar2000 Rocks! I have been using it for years. Simple, convenient, fast, clean, low-memory usage. Plays music in playlists, and can edit music in ID3 tags.

Just to check it out, I'll google 알송 (alsong) and see how that goes.

edit: Wow, the lyric section amazes me. Really amazes me. Really really. I am not ditching Foobar200, but I'll keep alsong biggrin.gif !

I heard of JetAudio (been thinking about getting a Cowon D2 ^^), but I have never used it.

Reps for Foobar2000 (lightweight and fully functional) and Alsong (lyrics!). I personally dislike winamp, windows media player, and itunes.

For the image: The theme of my computer affects the look of the windows.
Top is a resized Foobar2000 and bottom right is ALSong. The lyrics playing at the bottom are from ALSong.

YEAH! Same. I don't like how Winamp's windows are placed. It's annoys me. :/
But, right now I've been using Windows Media Player (since it's so simple to use) and Winamp. smile.gif

I never liked iTunes when I had a PC but I love it on my new MacBook laugh.gif

It's simple and has the functions I need... happy.gif
