I never used its library and would assort My Music by Artist Name folders. During that time period I would also use WinAmp. I'd download the really tacky skins, too. XP
But for the organization and its one and only true compatibility with my iPod---> iTunes!
I can make playlists, reference to the artist/album/etc by clicking the arrows next to my own songs, and since I have thousands of media it's great! Oh, yeah, and the podcasts are amazing too. The only problem I have with iTunes is its accepted formats and that when it converts songs it converts them to m4a. Which isn't bad but only bad when I'm making mp3 CDs.

I did try Itunes but it got me really angry when the songs I've been playing started shuttering. It's just annoying.

iTunes is a really annoying program like one said before, it doesn't support all/most extension and converting to .m4a is such
a waste of time.
Winamp was great back in the days, now they have all kinds of ads in it but you can block it.

Everyone seems to dislike Windows Media Player, but I love it.
I don't give a care about the organization of my library. I keep all my music files in folders, so there's no need for me to keep my library organized. I just need something to play my music & videos without a hassle.

oh btw, windows media player docks itself on your taskbar without making a window o_O if that makes sense. It's really convenient since I usually have tons of windows up for school and stuff sometimes.

Do other music players do that too?
