I had this problem where i set my cell phone to a ringtone ..
but everytime i call it with a friends phone,
it would play the default cingular AT&T ringtone,
and i probably set the ringtone to MINES a hundred times, but it still wont work..

but i found out something ..

If the person is ..
in my contact list - it plays the crappy AT&T ringtone
not in my contact list - it plays my song

CAN SOMEONE FIX THIS ?
how come it doesnt play my ringtone if i have at number on the contact list ?

I don't have this phone, but you should be able to set rigntones with Caller ID (your contact list) and ones without ID (not on your contact list).

It sounds like you set the ringtone to people who are not on your contact list.

You should be able to fix it by changing the ringtones of your contact list.
You can change the ringtone via group settings. Don't hesitate to ask if you need help!

hii. go the the main menu -> contacts -> caller groups -> and you will see a list of groups.. select one of the groups and you'll see "group ring tone".. and you can just set every group's ring tone to the ring tone you want.
