Creative Japan is releasing their Zen 32GB version for about $366 with all the basics such as a 2.5 QVGA LCD, support MP3/WMA/AAC/WAV, WMV/MPEG-SP/DivX/XviD/Motion-JPEG, and JPEG, has a SD card slot (SDHC), and FM tuner. It should be available mid December.

This might just be me, but 32 GB is an odd number. It looks nice. I'll just stick with my M Vision for the moment though.

It's 32 GB of flash memory (as opposed to hard drive). Greater battery life and less susceptible to shock damage.

well, computer-related storage devices come in 2_x bytes...so thats how you'd end up with 32GB. and btw, 32 is an EVEN number

but that 32gb and all those format compatibilities make it a nice video player compared to the ipod. nice alternative.

Flash memory is a different thing. Thought it was for the hard drive since my Vision is just 30 GB - which then again wouldn't make sense... Thanks for clarifying.

haha indeed 32 is an EVEN number, but it's just odd if the harddrive space of it was 32 instead of our generic 30, 60, 80,etc ;]

Gah.. I just bought the creative zen M 60 GB because 16GB for the zen was not enough. Now it finally comes out and I just bought a new one -.-

I really want this, but it's gonna be $100 too expensive for me. *sigh* Oh well, I've survived so long with only 1 GB that 8 or 16 GB should still feel like a huge improvement. And by the time my next player wears out there're bound to be even better (and even cheaper, maybe?) options out there.

Sounds awesome! I think I'm going to try to persuade my parents to get it for me because ipods are freaking irritating me now (GRRRR broke AGAIN have to go to apple store where annoying 'genius' people spend 1/2 confirming the ipod is dead).

Because it's a flash memory player, not a hard drive player. 32 GB is the most space on the market for this type of player so far. Heck, some companies have only just released 8 or 16 GB flash players for the first time this year. Even if there were a bigger one on the market right now, it would be extremely expensive.

How does this compare with the 30 gb Vision W? I have the Vision W, and I still love it. I was actually pondering on trading in for the 60 gb Vision W, but this looks good too.
