Hello!
My parents have promised to buy me a new camera for a little while now and I've been researching on a couple cameras and I've read through a lot of the topics on here. I currently have a Casio Z750 (my uncles gave it to me after he ditched it for a Nikon D2Hs...hellla nice camera... he looks like the paparazzi especially because his lense is GINORMOUS). Well anyways I've narrowed down my choices to the following:
*Casio Exilim EX-S880*
*Casio Exlim EX-Z1200*
*Fujifilm Finepix F50fd *
*Canon PowerShot SD950 IS*
*Canon PowerShot SD870 IS*
btw, other suggestions are welcomed!
but I DON'T want a sony camera. I was originally going to get the sony T200, but aside from the sleek look and snazzy touch screen that's about it. Plus my mom has the T20 (practically peed her pants trying to get the pearly white one) and I don't want practically the same camera as her. haha. I'm mainly interested in only Canon, Casio, Fuji, and Nikon cameras.
You're help is very much appreciated!

any of the SD ones you mentioned, along with the 850 IS should be good. i've seen mixed results from the f50fd, so i cant really say if it's as good as it seems on paper. but you should be happy with any of the SD series cameras. the sd 850 IS is the best deal, but i'd say the sd 950 IS is the better camera (and the most expensive of the group)

^ word word word! 950IS is better, but probably a bit pricey... I have the SD850IS and I'm satisfied with the work it can do.
(Stick with the Canons for camera choices!)

Thanks for your help guys, but now I found two more cameras and crossed off four camera from my list above. Urgh so hard to choose!
Leica D-LUX 3
HP Photosmart R967
Canon PowerShot SD870 IS
I LOVE how the Leica camera looks and the quality seems to be amazing (ditto with the HP). I'm leaning toward the Leica at this moment, but wondering if it's worth the splurge. Does anyone have it?

if you like the leica and it suits your needs, then buy it =)
but i can confidently say the canon will take the better pictures of them all.

most of the canon models are well worth the money! Most of them have the best photo quality for the price!!!!

I have a Leica D-Lux 3. It's nice because it can take pictures in RAW format and it has a 16:9 ratio when taking pictures (you can change it if you want too) but it's ridiculously expensive and mostly just for show. I tried the Canon SD870IS and it was pretty awesome
