Toyota has developed a robot which is capable of playing violin. It has 17 flexible joints and mechanical fingers. It measures 1.5m tall and weighs 56kg, the robot can achieve vibrato on a violin similar to the one created by human.

That's so cool! But I bet it can't sound better than a human playing with full emotion.

That's so cool! It plays better than I do T____T I'd rather see a real performer than a robot though...emotion is an important factor.

What's the point of this?? Like others said, it cannot conevy emotion, which is essential in making it pleasing to the ear. Without emotion, there is no music. hmph...people these days. >_>;

Extremely neat, but the robot scares the freaking rice out of me.
I'd be having nightmares with one in my house.
