i was on windows live messenger chatting when suddenly this friend of mine signed in about a gazillion times with this nickname tt goes something like 'www.you-areblocked.com -dADADADADA'

and i STUPIDLY CLICKED ON IT, accessed the webby and provided my email address and password!!!!

now my hotmail is a goner cos everything is messed up and half my msn list is telling me tt im hella irritating with my 'www.you-areblocked.com-blahblahblahblah' nickname. but everything else on my computer is fine.

so now, my fellow soompiers, does anyone have any idea on how to save my hotmail and messenger? i've tried system restore and reinstalling my windows live messenger.

Please help me... cos im doing online registrations and stuff for university, and im using this particular email address...

Thanks in advance!!

*EDIT*

managed to save my windows live messenger by reinstalling and changing the password. but hotmail is still in a dreadfully sorry state. all the icons are greenish and my contacts list and other weird stuff are everywhere...

>_< im glad you got the MSN stuff sorted out. I think all you can really do is just change your password for hotmail and fix things up. Hopefully it would just leave you alone after that when the password changed. (maybe change the hint part too)

I guess that MSN virus was one of those that just want to collect private information and not destroy your computer. Where ti will try to spread all over the internet collecting usernames/passwords to have a super list.

Greeinish Hotmail icons and stuff? Do you think it could be a theme issue? I don't think a virus can really mess anything up on the server side (web based) other than messing up your settings.
