I know there are other phones out there WAYYY better than the sidekick, but if you had to choose between just these two
which one would you get? why?

im pretty sure LX is better cus its more expensive. the lx is also bigger, so good size screen + keyboard
also it keeps the original flip screen

Like the reviews said, the LX has a bigger screen and a better key board, however if you're not a serious texter, I say go with the Slide which will probably fullfill your other needs as well. Not to mention it's also 100$ cheaper. ^^

yeah. I don't like sidekicks AT ALL
but I heard the LG slide is better.
I'm not sure. that's what this person at the cellphone shop told me.
