Hmm, I know. To get straight hair, get it straightened. To get really straight hair, go get it done at the salon
where its permanent.

But I noticed a lot of "asians" in my school have perfectly straight hair,
and its noticeably thin at the bottom, and there seems to be no
layers on their hair that is making it look thin.
How do you get it done like that?
I know to get it straight they use excellent straighteners
but how do you get thin straight clean look?
you know how much i love you

Why is asians in quotes? 0_o && How can you get it to be thin at the bottom.. unless you get layers? Well, I got my hair straightened and your hair just thins out a bit because it gets flat-er after its straight. There's also this special scissor that people use to layer hair that kinda cuts away part of the hair to make it thinner... idk how to explain but maybe thats what happened? Just ask your hair salon people. tongue.gif

o__o
i dunno....i have thin hair (both the texture and the amount of hair) which doesn't seem asian
...because my parents have coarse, thick hair x__x

it's kind of a disaster because my hair has absolutely no volume, and my ponytail is like the size of a thick marker.

why is asians in quotation marks? o_O

they have their hair thinned out. i dont like that look because most of the time you see the ends look really dry.

-___-

the hair is feathered at the ends. this thins it out. lots of people who have thick hair or hair with lots of body get this done when getting a cut or trim so the ends aren't overly thick.

go to a salon and ask them to feather or thin your ends a bit. but if you tend to have dry ends or aren't too well at remembering to get a trim on a regular basis, dont do it because it WILL look damaged and brittle. it does more harm than anything in the long run.

I once was stalked because intranetz be sirius bizness yo.....this one is out.

There are layers. They're just longer and more subtle. Guess the hairdresser did a good job huh? My layers a pretty unnoticeble at the bottom.

I'm asian and I have thick hair. I have to brush it a billion times to get it straight. But I heard that getting your hair permanently straight is bad for you hair?

first u hafta get ur hair cut in that style
get hair treatments at the salon
seriouslyy it makes ur hair look really smooth & shinny & straight
buy shiseido tsubaki or ascience hair ranges
theyre made especially for asian hair
haha the slogan for ascience is 'the world envy asians' or something like that
& shiseido tsubaki is the most pop hair range in japan
an easier alternative would be to use a conditioner/leave in conditioner/hair mask/deep conditioner or some sort of treatment regularly coz straightening ur hair is damaging in the long term

but yeaaaa use lots of hair products to get it all shiny & purrdyy & thin your hair if you dont want to magic straighten but the same effect.

i agree with the thinning scissors (:
my hair stylist did that for my hair
and its been a lot thinner than it used to be
my hair is thick and wavy =__=; but just keep your hair hydrated to keep it under control
and straightening it is your best bet
dont forget heat protectants though!
