What's The Current Trend In Cellphones?

dunno whether to file this topic under fashion or tech (given that cellphones r electric accessories)...

anywho, i want the latest cellphone that everybody is getting for christmas. i kinda missed out on the fliptop craze and i'm not very updated in the trendiest phone thing, so what is it?

a lot of ppl r starting to get those slidey ones, but is fliptop still in fashion (i.e. the motorola V3's)?

also, could someone give me the precise model/brand i should get/everybody's getting.

IMO i like the slidey phones
Get the solid ones they're hot, though they're a bit more costly than the normal plastic ones

I think it should be under Tech section.
But Slide phones aren't really "in" right now. What's in are big solid touch phones that does everything. Basically one with a typing keypad.

Been seeing lots of SE phones. Mainly the new SE W580 from rogers.

The phones everybody will be getting is either an iPhone, LG Voyager, Samsung Juke, or LG Venus. Those phones seem to be very popular and companies are advertising them like crazy.

I've read the iPhone's reception is crap and Verizon phones are always solid in reception.
