I have a recipe for kimchi bokkumbap on my youtube channel. I don't know what you mean by "burning everything" so I don't know how to help you specifically.
You can find me on the web at Koreafornian Cooking, ZenKimchi Food Journal, Twitter & on Facebook.

my friend recommended me this kimchi bokkembap recipe but it involves something weird lOL but i am telling u it taste good if u add the right amount lOlx
ok here goes.
rice - cook it
kimchi - cut it into bite sizes and save the liquid/juice.
spam - cut it into bite size pieces [u can use tuna if you want but i prefer spam]
garlic
special weird ingredient : peanut butter [yes it is peanut butter. but trust me okay i made it about a dozen times]
but please the peanut butter has to be smooth not chunky. u dont want chunks of peanuts in your bokkembap
an egg
1. add garlic to oil in a hot wok.
2. add in kimchi and spam
3. add 1/2 teaspoon of peanut butter [very tiny amount just to give a nutty flavour], mix it in thoroughly
4. add in rice and stir. and then add in kimchi liquid if u find the rice too colorless or too dry.
5. remove fried rice from the pan.
6. fry an egg separately and add it on top of your rice. and eat it hot ^^
hope it helps

The peanut butter would give it more of a Thai flair. Very creative, though and since I
