Basic ingredients for cookies are
#1 Butter – ¾ cup (room temp)
#2 Castor Sugar- 1 cup (I grind sugar crystals in my coffee grinder)
#3 Egg – 1 / beaten
#4 Flour – 2 ½ cups
#5 Salt – 1 pinch
#5 Vanilla Essence/Extract – 1 tsp
It is up to you to add other ingredients like, peanut butter,
m&ms, etc...
personal preferrence(:
here are the steps.
Beat the butter and sugar till fluffy and light.
Add the salt + vanilla essence and beat for 30 seconds.
With a spatula mix in the beaten egg part by part.
Put in all the flour in one go (fold in with a metal spoon), and gather together to make a firm dough.
Chill for at least 30 minutes in wrap.
Preheat the oven to 190deg C. Keep 4 cookie sheets ready with baking parchment (I use aluminium foil).
Roll out to ¼ inch thickness and cut with assorted cookie cutters. Place them on the prepared cookie sheet.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, watching closely so that they don’t get too brown
This recipe makes approximately 4 dozen 3" cookies
it worked for me and it works for you <3
HAVE FUN MAKING THEM (:

oh and, if you're thinking to add ingredients like choc chips, m&ms or whatever, always do it the last, before rolling them out/making into balls.
