that's because when you get to a certain point or level of competition.. winning is the fun part because of all the grueling training.

Alright I really, really like playing badminton w00t.gif but a friend of mines says it's a girly sport dry.gif and a guy shouldn't play it. What do you guys think is the most wimpy/girly sport?

Well thats your friends opinion. I'm a football/soccer fan, and my favourite sport gets bullied of being the wimpiest/lion king/pansy sports compared to other football codes. I respect every code. Every sport has different skills and aspects, its hard in some ways and other ways. The sport speaks to you, and you know and understand that special secret and the meaning it is to you.

You like it, if your good at it, then hit your friend with a shuttlecock at lightning speed. I've seen badminton games,The shuttlecock goes fast, and the player has to have very good reaction time.

The wimpiest sport is couch-football...or couch-hockey...maybe couch-baseball? Or maybe couch-tennis.
Followed closely by couch-golf, couch-soccer, and couch-volleyball.

I don't know, but somebody told me Starcraft is a sport. *shakes head sadly*

depends how you play badminton.
there's the 'throw-hit-then-other-player-drops-it' kind
or the 'serve-hit-other-person-hits-you-hit-etc...'
that one is olympic style!
I think volleyball is girly.
its great, but its girly.

tobogganing? well i guess that's not a sport...I would've said bobsledding but then again you do have to grip pretty tightly to that sled.

apparently golf is hard on the knees.

Sure its not a CONTACT sport...I would be scared CRAPLESS to do bobsledding ph34r.gif
Shooting 60-90mph down tiny ice tunnels in a compact little sled? Its definitely not something for the faint of heart.

none..
i got up to black belt in tae kwon do, i play football and wrestle @ 215 and do track (i no lol)...if those aren't violent sports
i should quit and go join the chess club.

but anyways...all my teammates bash on tennis players and cross country while i dont, cuz they're just being ignorant..even tho they're my friends lol

don't tell me that a tough 300 lb lineman that's tough as hell is gonna run cross country...
and i bet tough wrestlers are going to play tennis? i'd be scared if i was getting served 100mph serves...

even tho the games are non-contact, the training is probably HARDER than anything else...

i'd say BASEBALL is probably the easiest sport...i mean, it's not wimpy cuz u can get hit with a 70 on the shoulder,
but u see their training? we have one of the best teams in the state, and they bat, and run easy ass plays...

There is one sport exclusively for females: Roller Derby. And believe me there's NOTHING wimpy about it!

lol bump.

IMO table tennis.
Yea I know it can get hardout when pros play.
But still, it's probably concentrating at different muscles (or maybe not even muscle)

I mean, most sports that doesn't require arm strength are usually considered wimpy, right? tongue.gif

Figure skating. ^^

No doubt. xD

No WAY. Anyone that has ever done figure skating knows that it's unbelievably hard on the body (usually resulting in back problems at some point down the road), requires tons of strength - launching yourself up in the air and coming down on one leg requires strong legs, strong abs...
Figure skaters are constantly injured and constantly bruised (until your body gets used to it, then oddly enough it stops), and the technical qualifications have gotten downright brutal.
It's so highly focused on athleticism now that the artistry takes a back seat. >_<

My pick for "wimpiest"? Golf - a lot of standing and riding a cart - but I've never done it so what do I know?

Rhythmic Gymnastics

Rhythmic gymnastics is SUPER hard and requires soo much concentration, coordination, flexibility, and strength to hold positions...I did try it and the workouts were brutal. @_@

Hmm...idk if there really is such thing as a girly/guyish sport because pretty much every sport now is unisex. That's me being unstereotypical though. xD
Me stereotyping? ... I would say Soccer or American Football are most guyish.
And uh...most girlish...hmmmm idk? Ice Skating? lol xD

Wimpiest/Girliest is probably Pom Pon... no explannation really needed. People barely consider it as a sport at my school, but the squad does. It's basically just dancing, kicks and that type of stuff. I'd say cheerleading is way more intense than Pom Pon. Btw... I don't consider Figure Skating wimpy! haha. You have to train for that sport constantly... those flips aren't easy.

I think the wimpiest sport would be curling I mean who ever invented that sport must have been really bored.
